Journalist Reveals Liverpool Have Held “Talks” About Signing France Under 21 International

Liverpool have been in “talks” with Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to FootballTransfers.com reporter Jacque Talbot.

The journalist, who had accurate information on Darwin Nunez’s move to Anfield last summer, says that Thuram is a target for the Reds, along with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone:

Thuram is the brother of Gladbach striker Marcus and the son of World Cup winner Lillian. He has begun to make a name for himself at Nice, where he has been a regular starter over the past few seasons.

The France Under 21 international is also attracting interest from other Premier League teams, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Newcastle, so it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will try to beat their rivals to the player’s signature.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in the market for a midfielder, and they are looking for someone who is young and energetic who can cover the ground, so Thuram could well fit the bill.
