Kone has been on the Reds’ radar for a long time, and you can see why they would be interested in the 21-year-old, considering his energy, strength and pace.
Gladbach are said to be hoping to sell the midfielder for around €45m (£39.6m), which is a pretty sizeable fee when you take into account his limited experience of playing in top-flight football.
However, compared to Bellingham (who could cost between €120m and €150m), Kone would be a drop in the ocean. Of course, whether he possesses the same ability as the England international, it is questionable. We shall see if either player ends up moving to Anfield next summer.
