Journalist Reveals What Thiago Has Told Bayern Munich About Possible £27m Transfer

Thiago Alcantara has told Bayern Munich that he does not have a club lined up to move to after rejecting a new contract with the Bundesliga side, according to BILD journalist Christian Falk.

The reporter, who has previously suggested that the Spaniard has his heart set on a move to Liverpool, took to Twitter to provide the latest update on the 29-year-old’s future:

Falk did also confirm, however, that Bayern are now prepared to sell Thiago for around €30m (£27m). It had previously been reported that the German club were looking for around €35m (£32m).

At the moment, it doesn’t appear that Liverpool are particularly interested in the Spanish international, despite the player being available for a relatively low price.

Any approach may well be dependent on Georginio Wijnaldum’s future. The Dutchman has less than twelve months left on his current contract at Anfield and has yet to sign a new deal.
