Journalist Tips Liverpool To Make “Late Window Bid” For 25M Rated Arsenal Target

Liverpool may look to table a “late window bid” for Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal this summer and, while Jacobs says the Gunners remain the player’s preferred destination, an offer from the Reds can’t be ruled out:

Naby Keita’s latest injury could well force Jurgen Klopp’s side into the transfer market, and the fact that Tielemans is available so cheaply does make him a viable target.

The 25-year-old has less than a year remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium and the Foxes may only hold out for a fee in the region of £25m to £30m.

It has been reported in the past that Tielemans would prioritise a move to a club with Champions League football so he could snub a switch to Arsenal if Liverpool enter the race.

However, Jacobs is merely speculating about the Reds’ interest in the player at the moment. We shall have to wait and see whether more concrete reports emerge about a potential approach for the Belgian international.
