Klopp Believes World Cup Winner Could ‘Amaze At Anfield’ As Liverpool Eye Salah Replacement

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele as a potential replacement for Mo Salah, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan publication claims that Klopp is a big fan of the French World Cup winner whose dribbling skills and speed would “amaze at Anfield.”

Paris Saint-Germain have also been touted as another potential destination for Dembele, who looks certain to leave Barca on a free transfer this summer when his contract expires.

Chelsea had been firm favourites for the 24-year-old, with manager Thomas Tuchel having worked with the player previously at Borussia Dortmund, but the Blues’ ownership situation has paused their summer plans.

Manchester United were another club said to be in the frame for Dembele but any transfer decision will likely be delayed until they have a new permanent manager in place. It means Liverpool do have a fairly good chance of securing the player’s signature if they were to make a decent offer for him.
