Klopp Makes Statement On Whether Mbappe Or Sancho Could Join Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has moved to dampen speculation linking the club with bids for either Kylian Mbappe or Jadon Sancho.

The Reds boss says he is a big admirer of both players and while he doesn’t explicitly rule out attempts to sign the duo due to their undoubted quality, he doesn’t suggest that offers for the two players are likely:

“Look, I cannot answer those kinds of questions without creating headlines the next day, I know that’s what I don’t want to do. I love them all and there’s a few more players out there.”

“They are all exceptional players. The players they are now because of their own attitude, because of their skills and all that stuff. I love watching them but I have no problem that I never trained one of them.”

In the same interview, Klopp also made it known that he is still happy with his current attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah.

All three are 27 and 28 years of age and Klopp feels that they all have a number of years left at the top of the game, which means there is no urgency to replace them.

Mbappe has been consistently linked with a switch to Anfield over the past year, with one recent report from France even suggesting that Klopp had contacted the PSG star’s father.

Sancho, meanwhile, has been on the radar of a number of Premier League teams, including Manchester United and Chelsea.
