Liverpool have not suffered any injuries over the international break, but the Reds still have three players on the sidelines ahead of the match against Newcastle this weekend.
The closest to returning is Naby Keita. The Guinean suffered a thigh injury during training the day before the UEFA Super Cup final against Chelsea last month and is still a major doubt for Saturday.
Alisson Becker isn’t likely to be back in goal for the match at Anfield. The Brazilian has stepped up his recovery from a calf injury and has been put on a bespoke training programme in order to get back to full fitness. Adrian is set to continue deputising in goal.
Nathaniel Clyne is undergoing rehab for an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The right-back was injured in a pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund in July and is expected to be back at the end of January or the beginning of February next year.
