The teenager is now touch and go for the game versus Leeds this weekend, with the medical team expected to assess his fitness ahead of the trip to Elland Road.

Roberto Firmino remains a doubt with a hamstring issue that was also picked up in the Chelsea match. The Brazilian was replaced by Diogo Jota just before halftime in the 1-1 draw.

Takumi Minamino is unlikely to feature against Leeds after sustaining a muscular problem whilst away on international duty with Japan.

Neco Williams has a leg injury that forced him to withdraw from the Wales squad last week and he is rated as 50/50 for Sunday evening’s game.
