Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Kabak, Keita And Eight Other Players

Liverpool’s injury list is shockingly long at the moment with ten players on the treatment table. The latest setbacks came before the 2-0 win over Southampton at the weekend.

Ozan Kabak is currently sidelined with a muscular injury and reports suggest that he is losing his battle to be fit for the game against Manchester United on Thursday night.

Naby Keita (knock) and Ben Davies (muscular) are also doubts, but there is hope that vice-captain James Milner will be available after missing the victory against the Saints with a minor muscular problem.

The rest of the club’s injuries are long-term absentees. There are concerns that Jordan Henderson (groin) will not play again this season, while Divock Origi’s fitness situation is a mystery. The Belgian has not been in the matchday squad since the 2-0 win versus RB Leipzig two months ago. Caoimhin Kelleher (abdominal tear) is still on the sidelines too, having been out for the same length of time.

Virgil van Dijk (knee) and Joel Matip (ankle) are expected to return in preseason, but there have been some concerning reports about Joe Gomez this week. It has been claimed that the potential signing of Ibrahima Konate is being motivated by worries over the defender’s recovery from a patellar tendon rupture.
