Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Two Players Ahead Of The Games Against Leeds And Chelsea

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota out of the match against Leeds tomorrow night.

Firmino has sustained a muscular injury which forced him to miss out on the 3-1 win against Norwich City at the weekend. Jota, meanwhile, had to be substituted at half-time in the 2-0 victory over Inter Milan.

Neither has returned to training in the build-up to the Leeds game at Anfield and Klopp has raised doubts over whether either player will be available when they face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Both Firmino and Jota will be given every chance to prove their fitness ahead of the showpiece event at Wembley but the odds on the pair featuring look pretty low at the moment.

Neither injury was thought to be serious, but Liverpool have been notorious for being less than forthcoming when it comes to putting a timeline on how long players will be out for.
