Liverpool Among A Number Of PL Clubs Plotting Move For Spanish Teenage Sensation With 67M Release Clause

Liverpool and Manchester City are very interested in signing Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The teenager has been in impressive form this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 33 appearances for the Yellow Submarine.

Pino did, however, sign a new five-and-a-half-year contract back in November, which increased his release clause to €80m (£67m), meaning the forward won’t come cheap.

Arsenal were linked with the 19-year-old last year, while Chelsea have also been credited with an interest, so the Reds and City are unlikely to be the only teams in the mix for the player’s signature.

Whether Pino will be on Jurgen Klopp’s list of targets for this summer, though, it is unlikely. The Spanish international generally prefers to play off the right flank and he would be in direct competition with Mo Salah if he were to move to Anfield.

That doesn’t completely rule out a transfer, considering the Egyptian’s contract situation, but it’s best to treat this rumour with a large pinch of salt.
