Rennes “would want” £30m for midfielder Lovro Majer if Liverpool or Arsenal make a bid for the Croatian international this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The English tabloid claims that both Premier League teams have been scouting the 25-year-old this season and there is a possibility that he could be sold when the transfer window opens.
Majer has been compared to international teammate Luka Modric, although it must be said that he has yet to hit the heights of the Real Madrid legend.
The Croatian has actually struggled to get into Rennes’ first team at times this campaign, and he is believed to be open to leaving the Ligue One club if he can get more playing opportunities.
Liverpool are scouring the market for midfielders and, while Majer is undoubtedly a talented player, it remains to be seen whether they believe he possesses the quality required to play in the Premier League.
