Liverpool eyeing shock move for United’s Marouane Fellaini?

Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini is widely expected to leave the club this summer after struggling for game time under Jose Mourinho this season, and French media outlet L’Equipe believe Liverpool could be his next destination.

Reports from France suggest that Liverpool are ready to offer Fellaini a route out of Old Trafford by offering him a three-year contract as they look to replace the outbound Emre Can.

Can is widely expected to join Juventus at the end of the season, and Jurgen Klopp has eyed Fellaini as his potential replacement.

The big Belgian midfielder has torn opinion over his style of play ever since joining the Premier League in 2008 with Everton.

After six relatively successful seasons with the Toffees, Fellaini followed David Moyes to Old Trafford in 2013, but has since turned into a utility player after the Scotsman’s departure and is now expected to leave Manchester come May time.

The 30-year-old has made only three Premier League starts this season and ten appearances from the bench, scoring three goals.

AS Monaco, Bestikas, PSG and clubs from the Chinese Super League are also thought to be interested in Fellaini, however it is understood the Belgium international would prefer to remain in England.
