Liverpool Have Made Enquiry For Portuguese Ace Who Has Been Branded A “Huge Talent” By Alan Shearer

Liverpool are one of three clubs that have made enquiries for Wolves forward Pedro Neto, according to reports in the English media.

Tottenham and Juventus have also been in touch about the Portuguese international, who has been earmarked as a promising young player by Premier League legend Alan Shearer.

After Wolves’ 2-1 win over Southampton in February, when Neto scored the winner, Shearer said that the 21-year-old had a very bright future:

“A huge talent who is having a fine season. He changed the game and scored a great goal.”

The striker is very highly regarded by Wolves and he is not expected to leave Molineux unless the Midlands club receive an offer that is too good to turn down.

Whether the Reds will actually make a formal bid for Neto this summer, it seems unlikely, considering his injury situation. The Portuguese injured his kneecap back in April and he is estimated to be out for at least six months. The forward is, therefore, only likely to return to action in October or November.
