Liverpool Join SIX Premier League Teams In Battle For 22M Rated Hungarian Starlet

Liverpool have joined the long list of clubs keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, according to reports in the UK.

The Reds are among seven Premier League clubs who are tracking the Hungarian international, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Everton, Wolves and Leicester City also involved.

There are also a large number of teams from abroad who are keen to snap up Szoboszlai with RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Lyon, Benfica and Porto all interested.

Considering the player has a release clause in the region of €25m (£22m), it is not a surprise that so many teams are pursuing the 20-year-old with many scouts believing he is worth at least £40m.

Szoboszlai’s agent has confirmed that the Hungarian is looking to leave Salzburg in the near future, although, at this stage, no team has emerged as favourites for the player’s signature. Liverpool do have a close relationship with his club, following the deal to sign Takumi Minamino last January, and they could use that to their advantage in the race to secure the midfielder.
