Liverpool Set To Compete With 4 Clubs For Austrian Midfield Destroyer Who Is Considering His Future

Liverpool will have to see off Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Tottenham if they want to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer, according to reports in the German media.

The Reds were originally linked with the Austrian international last month, when Manchester United were also mentioned as a possible suitor.

However, it appears that the Red Devils have dropped out of the race for Laimer, with the battle for the player’s signature looking like it will come down to four teams.

At the moment, it is believed that Laimer hasn’t made a decision on his future. The 24-year-old is closing in on the final twelve months of his contract at Leipzig, and he hasn’t told the Bundesliga side whether he wants to extend his current deal or leave this summer.

Laimer is a holding midfield player by trade, so it is likely that Liverpool are looking at him as a potential option to compete with Fabinho.
