Liverpool are scouting Hertha Berlin attacking midfielder Bence Dardai, according to HITC Football.
The German Under 18 international only made his first-team debut against Dusseldorf back in July and he has made eight further senior appearances since then.
However, Dardai’s potential has attracted the interest of the Reds and a number of clubs in England and across mainland Europe.
HITC report that Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan and Juventus have also been keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old’s development in recent months.
Dardai comes from a family of footballers
Pal Dardai is the player’s father. He spent 14 years at Hertha during his playing career and he is now in his third spell as manager at the Bundesliga-2 club.
Bence’s brothers have also come through the youth system, with Marton having played 68 times for the first team as a centre-back and holding midfielder. Palko, meanwhile, is a winger who has made 24 appearances at senior level.
Liverpool’s recruitment strategy for the summer
Some supporters may be surprised to hear that the Reds are already looking at potential signings when they haven’t even appointed a replacement for Jurgen Klopp. However, the club’s transfer activity is not dependent on the manager.
Chief Scouts Dave Fallows and Barry Hunter have continued to keep tabs on potential recruits, while the recent arrival of Richard Hughes as sporting director means that decisions on some signings can now be made.
As Dardai is unlikely to be brought in to become a first-team regular straight away, there is a good chance that Liverpool could make an early move to secure his services. With there being so much competition for his signature, though, it won’t be an easy deal to wrap up.
