Ex-Arsenal winger Robert Pires believes Kylian Mbappe should reject Real Madrid and join Liverpool on a free transfer this summer.
Most reports suggest that a move to the Bernabeu is all but done but Pires claims that Mbappe should consider a link-up with Mo Salah at Anfield:
“I would like to see him at Liverpool. It’s a great family club. There’s a good structure, no pressure, the fans are level-headed, and I think a Salah-Mbappe partnership could be really explosive. I think he is capable of rejecting Real Madrid.”
Fans on X are split with some keen to see Mbappe move to Merseyside while others don’t believe it is a realistic possibility:
More chances of Leicester City winning the Premier League this season.

Yes, and FSG aren’t capable of paying such high wages.

Mbappe’s wages make a deal impossible
The World Cup winner is currently taking home roughly £1.2m a week at PSG, which is comfortably over three times more than Liverpool’s highest earner.
Unless Mbappe is willing to take a massive pay cut to facilitate a move to the Reds, there is no chance that personal terms could be agreed.
Liverpool will focus on signing up-and-coming players
With Michael Edwards having returned to FSG and Richard Hughes set to join Liverpool as sporting director at the end of the season, it’s clear that the club’s transfer policy will return to signing hidden gems.
While every club in the world would love Mbappe, it’s unlikely that the newly formed recruitment department would even consider the possibility of signing him due to the costs involved.
