‘500m Or Nothing’ ‘Is That The First Half Of The Fee?’ Liverpool Fans Dismiss £129M Bid Reports

Mo Salah playing for Liverpool.

Al-Ittihad are ready to test Liverpool’s resolve by offering €150m (£129m) for Mo Salah, according to CBS Sports reporter James Benge.

The figure includes add-ons, with only €100m (£85m) upfront, and fans on X are pretty dismissive about the sort of money being offered:

Klopp has already rejected talk that Salah could move to Saudi Arabia

Manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear on a number of occasions that the Egyptian international is not for sale.

However, it appears that Al-Ittihad won’t take ‘no’ for an answer and a lot may depend on Salah’s stance and how far the Saudi Arabian club are willing to go.

Liverpool would not have any time to find a replacement

With the transfer window closing on Friday night, the Reds would not really have the chance to replace Salah. Finding someone who could step into the shoes of the club’s best player at such short notice would be almost impossible.

As Saudi Arabia’s transfer deadline is on September 20th as well, Al-Ittihad could still sign the 31-year-old later next month and the Reds would have to wait until January to bring in a new signing. When you consider all those factors, it would be a shock if the Merseyside club were to consider any offer from Al-Ittihad for the player.
