The Spion Kop 1906 fan group have been asked by the club to drape the Kop with flags ahead of Liverpool’s first Premier League match behind closed doors against Crystal Palace.
The stand is usually full of flags when there is a full house at Anfield, and Spion Kop 1906 has shared pictures of how the empty seats will look ahead of the kick-off on Thursday night.
Supporters on Twitter are delighted by the Kop’s transformation:
Looks amazing as always well done to everyone involved, nice to see my seat is being occupied by a real flag! Thanks #YNWA #LFC

It is a huge shame that fans will be unable to see their idols play at home for the rest of the season, but at least the flags will let the players know they will be there in spirit.
The Reds have four games left at home with Palace, Aston Villa, Burnley and Chelsea coming up over the next month, but with restrictions on mass gatherings set to stay in place, it’s unlikely we’ll see fans in the ground for a number of months.
