Manchester United V Liverpool: FA Cup Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said they lost a game that was “impossible” to lose against Burnley on Thursday night. The Reds will still be reeling from losing their long-standing unbeaten home league record when they travel to face Manchester United tomorrow.

The FA Cup clash may have come at the worst or best possible time depending on how you look at it, with Klopp demanding a response from his players on the pitch. They will be facing a confident opponent, though, after the Red Devils’ win over Fulham during the week.

Liverpool currently have four players missing due to injury. Kostas Tsimikas returned to the bench against Burnley so Naby Keita (muscular), Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk (all knee) are the only players still unavailable. Captain Jordan Henderson could return to the squad after missing the defeat midweek with a muscle strain.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester United:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Henderson, Thiago, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should have Victor Lindelof available following a back injury but Marcos Rojo (calf), Facundo Pellistri (virus), Brandon Williams (knock) and Phil Jones (knee) have been ruled out.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fernandes, Fred, Pogba, Cavani, Rashford

The bookies can’t split the two teams with Manchester United currently 8/5 to win at Sky Bet. A draw after 90 minutes is 27/10 with Unibet while a Liverpool victory is 33/20 at the same bookmaker

Predicted Score – 0-0 (Liverpool to win on penalties)
