Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has praised the impact that Jurgen Klopp has had since arriving at the club four years ago. Asked about the secret behind the German manager’s success, the Reds star highlighted his excellent man-management skills:
“Everybody can see what he has done for this club, for this city and the quality he has as a manager. There are a lot of good managers in Europe but what I can say is that our manager always has the right words and the right things to manage his team, especially knowing how to deal with his team.”
Mane went on to say he doesn’t believe there is a better manager in world football at the moment, with the Senegalese international stating that he completely trusts his boss’s judgement:
“I would always trust his influence on the team. He is a winner and I would say he is the best in the world.”
Liverpool have certainly been lucky to have such an excellent leader. Klopp’s drive to win trophies is certainly keeping the player’s feet on the ground and the German’s managerial ability is definitely helping to prevent the Reds stars from resting on their laurels.
At the same time, his tactical knowledge is top drawer, and you can’t argue with results, considering the Reds have lost just once in 50 Premier League games; an extraordinary stat which has somewhat been overlooked by some sections of the media.
