Milner, Tsimikas And Firmino To Start, Nunez On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Everton

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool were lucky to secure a last-gasp winner against Newcastle on Wednesday, with manager Jurgen Klopp expressing his frustration with his players’ lack of patience in possession after the match.

The feeling is that they will need to improve on their performance in midweek to make sure they secure the three points in the Merseyside derby tomorrow. Everton haven’t exactly started the season well, with three draws and two defeats from their opening five fixtures, but Liverpool’s injury problems could prove to be a leveller.

Alisson will start in goal on Saturday, with Joe Gomez expected to line up alongside Virgil van Dijk in the centre of defence once again. Kostas Tsimikas could, however, replace Andy Robertson at left-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold keeping his position on the right flank.

In midfield, Jordan Henderson’s hamstring injury means James Milner will likely be recalled, with Fabinho and Harvey Elliott taking up the other two midfield spots.

Darwin Nunez is back from suspension but Klopp may keep faith with Roberto Firmino, with the Brazilian getting in the goals over the last two games. Luis Diaz and Mo Salah will line up either side of him.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Everton:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Elliott, Fabinho, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Diaz
