Mohamed Salah has jumped to the defence of his Liverpool team-mate Loris Karius following heavy criticism for his recent performances.
Karius enjoyed a decent season at Anfield last year, however his calamity of errors in the Champions League final – which were later linked to a concussion he suffered early in the game – saw him come under intense criticism from the fans and media.
And in pre-season, the Reds shot-stopper has come under fire again for mistakes against both Borussia Dortmund and Tranmere Rovers.
Salah however, has given the 24-year-old his backing and insisted the German should ignore his critics.
Stay strong Karius, it has happened to the best of players. Ignore those who hate.@LorisKarius

“Stay strong Karius, it has happened to the best of players. Ignore those who hate.” wrote Salah on his official Twitter account.
Karius has recently written a message of his own in response to the backlash he’s received for his performances.
Writing on his Instagram, he said: “To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you.
“Whatever it is that’s happening in your life to hold this much anger and hate, I pray that it passes and good things come to you.”
