Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is happy at the Reds and is not looking to leave the club, according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
There have been reports that the Dutchman could be set to depart Anfield with the player’s contract entering its final eighteen months, but it appears the 29-year-old is looking to stay for the foreseeable future:
Georginio Wijnaldum is very happy at Liverpool. Would like to stay as long as possible. No panic about contract running out in 18 months. Plans in the pipeline about talks over new deal. Fully focused on helping Liverpool win the title. Believes he’s at best club in the world

In these situations, it’s usually the case that the player’s agent is looking to get a better financial package for his client. Wijnaldum and the club are likely locked in negotiations at the moment over a new deal.
There was a similar situation with James Milner not long ago, with the vice-captain raising question marks over his future before he put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension. Supporters will, though, be hoping Wijnaldum’s future is resolved quickly.
