Neville Lauds “Amazing” Liverpool Star As He Singles Out One “Unbelievable” Attribute He Possesses

TV pundit Gary Neville was full of praise for Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold following his performance against Tottenham yesterday.

The former Manchester United right-back says he was confident that the Reds had a player the first time he saw him on the pitch, and he thinks his passing, in particular, is one of his stand out attributes:

“Trent Alexander-Arnold is amazing. From the moment I laid eyes on him in that first game at Old Trafford his temperament was amazing. To be thrown in during that game, he was outstanding from minute one.”

“But now, he’s getting to a point where he’s one of the best full-backs I’ve ever seen going forward – his passing is unbelievable. He’s got to become as serious about his defending as he is about his attacking, and you’ve got a world-class full-back there.”

Considering Alexander-Arnold has reached two Champions League finals, and has been part of a Liverpool team that has lost just once in 48 games, I think it is safe to say that the 21-year-old’s defending is pretty decent.

Having been named on the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or too, it’s hard to argue that he isn’t already a world-class player, and while there is still room for improvement, Alexander-Arnold is one of the world’s best right-backs.

The defender has three assists to his name this season, and you wouldn’t bet against him getting close to the astonishing 16 he managed last campaign.
