Neville Makes Title Prediction After Witnessing Liverpool Play Out Draw Against City

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville says he is still backing Manchester City to pip Liverpool to the title after the pair drew 2-2 at the Etihad yesterday evening.

The former Manchester United defender says he backed Pep Guardiola’s side at the beginning of the season, and he is not going to change his opinion now:

“I’ve said City all along and I thought Liverpool, a few weeks ago, they might there. But I think City, just City. There’s no science behind that.”

You would have to say that City are the favourites, considering they have a one-point advantage and look to have the easier run-in on paper.

Liverpool, in contrast, have some big games against Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham over the next month, although all of them will be played at Anfield.

The Reds may feel that they needed to get the win last night, in order to have a great chance of winning the league, but manager Jurgen Klopp would have been satisfied with a point, considering that they played pretty poorly in the first half.
