Chelsea are likely to have a new manager in place by the time they face Liverpool on September 18th.
Some reports even suggest that Graham Potter could be announced as Thomas Tuchel’s replacement as early as today, and it has Liverpool fans on Twitter debating how the change in head coach will impact the fixture at Stamford Bridge:
New manager bounce against us 🥲👍

As some supporters mention, there is a danger of a “new manager bounce”, especially as the fixture could well be their first home league game in charge.
Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to be too concerned with what’s going on at Chelsea, though, and he will want the focus to be on his own team and what they can do to beat opponents.
The priority at the moment will be to get wins against Wolves and Ajax before considering how the appointment of Potter or another manager will affect the match in ten days’ time.
