Liverpool are leading the race for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to Jan Aage Fjortoft. The former striker turned pundit claims he has heard from sources in Germany that the Reds are favourites to sign the 19-year-old:
From a very good source in Germany:
Klopp and Liverpool favorite to get Dortmund-player Sancho.
Sancho wants to leave the club already in January

It is believed that Sancho is unhappy at Dortmund after a series of run-ins with the club’s hierarchy over discipline. Many fans on Twitter are excited by the prospect of the England international signing:
Sancho would allow us to actually rest and rotate Salah, Mane and Bobby it’s a no brainier #LFC

Big fan of us being linked with Sancho! He’s class! Would be a top addition to add to our squad! Fingers crossed it’s true and we can make it happen #LFC

Sign Sancho & Werner in Jan.
Sign backups in the summer and recall a loan.
Do it. #LFC https://t.co/Bxq2ile1JM— Jonny Twiss (@Twiss95) December 2, 2019
Come to Liverpool Sancho ✊?? #LFC

I know this is painfully obvious, but Sancho in January would be exactly the type of injection the squad needs. Nothing in the summer, and the team has only continued to get better. Nothing but added quality and incentive for our front 3 to bust a gut that much more now. #LFC

So Jan Aage Fjortoft has spoken. That must mean Jadon Sancho is a done deal. #LFC #AnnounceSancho
In all seriousness though i think if Sancho was to come in, we’d cash in on Salah if anyone prepared to pay the £150m.— David?1892⚪ (@DJSLFC80) December 2, 2019

However, some supporters don’t believe a move for Sancho is realistic:
Highly doubt we get Sancho in January. I’m highly doubtful we get him at all t h but promising signs. #LFC #Sancho2020

Sancho is right footed. Won’t happen. #LFC https://t.co/EZhWEBgMZx

Reports have suggested that Dortmund may demand as much as £100m for the teenager, which would be a bit steep. Liverpool are no strangers to shelling out in the January transfer window after paying £75m for Virgil van Dijk two years ago, but it is not a common occurrence.
There are also other teams interested in Sancho with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid all said to be keen.
