Brighton are expected to hold out for as much as €70m (£62m) for midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to reports in the German media.
Liverpool are among the teams said to be interested in the Ecuadorian international, along with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
While the Reds have not tabled a bid yet, there is a chance an offer could be submitted during the January transfer window, but fans on Twitter are split on whether Caicedo is worth his price tag:
Not worth the money. MacAllister is available for less and is a machine.

Brighton are unlikely to lower their valuation. This is the same team that received £62m from Chelsea for Marc Cucurella last summer and £50m from Arsenal for Ben White a year before.
Caicedo does lack experience, having only spent a year as a regular starter in the Premier League, but he does possess the energy, dynamism and pace that has been lacking from the Reds’ midfield. Whether the Merseyside club believe he is worth shelling out £62m on, though, is another matter.
