‘One Of The Names…’ Sky Claims Liverpool Are Considering January Swoop For Bundesliga Star Who Wants PL Switch

Liverpool are weighing up a potential move for RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer when the January transfer window opens, according to Sky Germany.

The Austrian international will have just six months left on his contract in the New Year and Sky claim that he is “one of the names” that the Reds are targeting as they look to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.

Laimer has already admitted that he is a “fan” of Jurgen Klopp’s side. Reports had suggested, though, that Bayern Munich were favourites to secure his signature, but Sky’s latest information suggests he is “interested” in moving to the Premier League.

Other English teams have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, including Chelsea and Manchester United, so Liverpool may have to fight hard to secure his services.

Leipzig may well be willing to let Laimer leave for a cut-price deal in January to prevent him from leaving for nothing next summer.
