Liverpool are keeping tabs on Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to reports in the English media.
The England international is also believed to be a target for Manchester City, Manchester United, West Ham and Arsenal, but the Reds may step up their interest after losing out on Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid.
Phillips’s price tag is reportedly £60m and the cost of the transfer, combined with his poor fitness record, has led many fans on Twitter to call on the club to look at other options:
Please no… too expensive, too injury prone…

Spending £60m on a player who spent the best part of three and a half months out with a hamstring injury last season would be a massive risk, to say the least.
Considering Liverpool already have midfielders at the club, such as Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who have spent long spells on the treatment table, you’d think that they would be hesitant about going after someone like Phillips.
