Borussia Dortmund are “leading the race” for Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi, according to Sport1 Journalist Patrick Berger.
The German international has been linked with a number of teams but Berger claims that Dortmund are already in talks with the teenager’s agent ahead of a potential transfer:
#BVB leading the race to sign Karim Adeyemi in summer 2022. There are good talks between Zorc, Kehl and the representatives of the 19-yo German. Just to be clear: Dortmund don’t see him as a potential one-to-one replacement for Haaland as he is a different kind of player. @SPORT1

Other reports in Germany have claimed Liverpool have made an enquiry about Adeyemi recently, but it is believed that the 19-year-old is keen on a return to Germany, with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig also in the frame.
In addition to the Reds, other Premier League teams have also been keeping tabs on the German, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, following his excellent start to the season for Salzburg.
Adeyemi has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in only 16 appearances for the Austrian club since the end of July, and he also scored on his debut for Germany in a 6-0 win over Armenia last month.
