REPORT: Liverpool Target Shock Move For 14M Rated Arsenal Ace As Potential Firmino Replacement

Liverpool are interested in signing Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to El Gol Digital. The Spanish rumour mongers claim that the Reds are targeting the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Roberto Firmino.

Lacazette has less than a year left on his contract at the Emirates, and reports in recent weeks have suggested that the 30-year-old could be available for just €17m (£14m).

Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen on Lacazette but El Gol claim that the La Liga champions may switch targets to Firmino, if the Brazilian is indeed available this summer.

The forward is reportedly the “one chosen to leave” by manager Jurgen Klopp due to “several factors” and the Reds are believed to be willing to let him go for around €50m (£42.3m).

Firmino would, therefore, be a lot more expensive than Lacazette so Atletico would likely ask for a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

El Gol are notoriously unreliable so supporters would be wise to take these claims about both Lacazette and Firmino with a big pinch of salt.
