Borussia Dortmund are “feeling confident” about wrapping up a deal for Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The German international, who has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season, has been linked with a whole host of clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich. However, Romano claims the forward is closing in on a summer move to Dortmund:
Borussia Dortmund have been in talks to sign Karim Adeyemi since November – club feeling confident to reach full agreement with RB Salzburg in the coming weeks. He’s the main target after Niklas Süle deal completed. 🟡 #BVB

Reports in Austria have suggested that Salzburg are holding out for a fee between €35m (£29.5m) and €40m (£33.7m) for Adeyemi, but it looks as though an agreement with Dortmund is now in reach.
It does seem unlikely that Liverpool will be in the market for another forward so soon after signing Luis Diaz from Porto but there is no doubt that the 20-year-old would have been a player of interest, considering his massive potential. As things stand, though, it appears that a return to Germany is on the cards.
