Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge will not be offered a new contract, according to reports in the UK.
The 29-year-old’s current deal expires in the summer, and he is now expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Fans had mixed reactions to the news with many appreciating Sturridge’s contributions to the team:
Sad to see him go but it’s time he moves on.

Best of luck to him, hopefully he can help us win the Prem before he leaves. Dybala incoming.

Others felt that the striker has done little to merit getting a new deal.
Thought he already left lol

Best for all parties.
He’ll always be remembered for that stellar season alongside Rodgers, but he’s never been able to recapture that form.

Injuries have really taken their toll on Sturridge. His goal return in his first 18 months at the club was incredible, having scored 32 goals in his first 43 league appearances.
However, since the 2014/15 campaign, he has not scored more than eight goals in a league season. Over the past four and half years, he has scored just 19 times in the top flight.
Sturridge could still have an impact coming off the bench for Jurgen Klopp between now and end of the season. His goal against Chelsea was a telling reminder of his quality but it looks like he will move on to pasture’s new in July.
