Liverpool midfielder Fabinho’s future has been called into question once more after another disappointing display against Real Madrid.
Like his teammates, the Brazilian started the game well but he didn’t have the legs to last the 90 minutes as Real ran rampant through the Reds’ midfield in the second half.
Fabinho’s form has been the source of much debate among supporters this season and, when asked whether it is time to sell the player, most fans on Twitter agreed:
Absolutely loved him when he was performing but he just seems like a broken player rn. Sale might be ideal for both sides.

He’s been run into the ground these last few years with no rotation I’m not too surprised this has happened feel for him

He was so good in the first half as well. His legs are just gone

Sell him IMO! Loved him in his prime but a move to Italy would be best! He would boss there, slower football and more his style!

I agree he’s had a big drop on form this season but thought he had a decent first half last night

Yep, doesn’t track back and just throws his arms in the air, which by the way he does all the time now

Badly needs to leave, embarrassing watching him play

He runs like hes got weights in his boots these days. Not sure how he comes back from that. Its not a "form" thing. Def looks physical

The performances of Fabinho are symptomatic of a collective drop-off in form that has spread throughout the entire squad. Not one player has performed to the same level as last season.
Some of that is undoubtedly down to mental fatigue, but Fabinho seems to have fallen off a cliff physically. His inability to stay with runners and cover ground has left Liverpool’s defence exposed on too many occasions. A decision will need to be made on his future in the summer.
