‘Shame. For Him, Not Us’ Don’t Let The Door Hit You On The Way Out’ Liverpool Fans On Twitter React As Starlet Closes In On £1.8m Departure

Liverpool forward Bobby Duncan is set to leave the club to join Fiorentina, according to multiple reports in the English media. The deal is said to be worth €2m (£1.8m) with a 20% sell-on clause.

The 18-year-old’s agent controversially hit out at the club last week after the Reds refused to sanction a loan move. Instead, the Merseyside club have decided to cut their losses and let the teenager leave on a permanent basis:

It’s not nice when a player leaves under a cloud, but Liverpool appear to have opted against keeping Duncan with the striker having agitated for a move.

He is apparently keen to get first-team football but there is no guarantee he will get the game time he wants in Italy. Fiorentina are an established team in Serie A, and Duncan won’t only have to fight for his place but will need to learn a new language and adapt to a new culture.
