Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been nominated for the Yachine Trophy, following his performances during the 2021/22 season.
The Reds shot-stopper joins three other Premier League goalkeepers (Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy, Manchester City’s Ederson and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris) on a ten-man shortlist.
Alisson won his second Golden Glove last campaign, after keeping 20 clean sheets in the Premier League, whilst he also helped his team reach the final of every competition they played in. Fans on Twitter feel the keeper would be a worthy winner:

Watch the organizers (Real Madrid) give it to Courtois

While Alisson will be among the favourites, Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois is widely regarded by many as the likeliest to be handed the prize. The Belgian wasn’t only outstanding in the Champions League final but he was crucial in helping his side win the La Liga title as well.
Liverpool supporters will still be keeping their fingers crossed, though, that Alisson can pull off an upset and win the accolade.
