‘What A Player He Is’ Pundit Heaps Praise On Newly-Signed Liverpool Star

Journalist Frank McAvennie was full of praise for Liverpool superstar Dominik Szoboszlai in a recently recorded interview.

McAvennie said that Szoboszlai is ‘incredible’ and that he provides ‘everything you could want in a midfielder’ in a glittering review.

Expanding on his praise, McAvennie mentioned that he believes Szoboszlai would put in a solid performance in any position on the pitch and named him as the ‘signing of the year’.

What did Frank McAvennie say regarding Dominik Szoboszlai?

Speaking to Football Insider, McAvennie said: “I wasn’t expecting him to be this good. What a player he is – big, athletic, great feet, mobile, two footed. He’s incredible, everything you could want in a midfielder.

“In fact, he’s so good he could play anywhere. Put him at centre-back and he’d probably deliver a Rolls-Royce performance. I haven’t seen a better signing by any club this summer, in the Premier League or anywhere else. He’s an absolute beast and should be huge for Liverpool for a long time. They have just completed the signing of the year.”

How important is Dominik Szoboszlai to the Liverpool team?

Since his arrival at Anfield, Szoboszlai has been a revelation in the heart of Liverpool’s midfield. After their ranks in the middle of the park were harshly criticised last season, the Hungarian has turned their most susceptible weakness into their greatest asset.

In Liverpool’s most recent game, where they defeated Wolves, Szoboszlai was the beating heart of their midfield. He ran the game, despite a lackadaisical first half performance that saw the Reds enter the break a goal down.

The Reds were perpetually lethargic and lacking in ideas from midfield last season. In one fell swoop, the addition of Szoboszlai has ameliorated both of these problems.

Not only does he work deceptively hard, his creativity from both advanced and deep positions has revolutionised the way Liverpool play – in many ways, he is the ideal player to slot into a Jurgen Klopp system.

Liverpool’s recruitment team has come under fire in the last couple of years – however, where Szoboszlai is concerned, they have definitely got it right on this occasion.
