Liverpool are expected to make a move for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer, according to reports in England.
The Malian is said to be the primary target to replace Georginio Wijnaldum but supporters on Twitter are divided over whether the 24-year-old is the right option:
No where near him! That’s like getting origi to replace salah, ?

I’ll be brutally honest, I haven’t seen too much of him but from what I have seen he hasn’t overly impressed me tbh like how does this not massively underwhelm people fs

Bissouma certainly has all the attributes to play the Wijnaldum role. He is very capable in possession and he is able to dribble out of trouble if required.
The Reds will not, though, have a clear run to secure the midfielder’s signature. Both Arsenal and Manchester United are believed to be interested in the player. The Gunners, especially, are thought to be a major rival with reports in London claiming Bissouma would favour a move to the Emirates.
There is also the transfer fee, with Brighton expected to hold out for at least £40m when the transfer window opens, so it remains to be seen how this move will play out.
