Thiago And Jota To Start, Mane On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Leeds

Liverpool’s performance against Real Madrid on Wednesday night was not bad by any stretch of the imagination. However, as Jurgen Klopp pointed out after the game, their lack of cutting edge in attack has been their undoing all season.

The Reds face a very tricky trip to Elland Road tomorrow evening where they will be coming up against a Leeds United side who have won their last three matches.

With regards to team selection, Alisson will keep his place in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Nat Phillips, Ozan Kabak and Andy Robertson making up the back four.

Thiago’s absence from the starting lineup against Real was a surprise so the Spaniard may well be recalled to face Leeds, with James Milner making way. Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum could take up the other two central midfield roles.

Up front, Sadio Mane’s performance midweek doesn’t suggest he is close to getting back to his best form, so he may well be taking out of the firing line, with Diogo Jota coming into the team. Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino will make up the rest of the eleven.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Leeds:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Jota
