Arguably the most well-known club in the history of professional football, Real Madrid can only lay claim to the number four spot on FiveThirtyEight’s list.
Despite winning the Copa Del Rey, the 2022/23 season will ultimately go down as a disappointment for Madrid. Not only did they fail to put up much of an effort in the La Liga title race, they were also humiliated in the Champions League semi-finals by Manchester City.
It’s strange to see Los Blancos outside of the top three – but given the season that they have had, it is understandable.
