Tottenham V Liverpool: Match Preview And Betting Odds

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool’s first-team players should be fresh after most of them sat out the 1-0 win over Everton in the FA Cup on Sunday. In contrast, Saturday’s opponent’s Spurs went with an almost full-strength side despite being held by Middlesbrough.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp does, though, have a few injuries to contend with ahead of their first visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.  James Milner (muscular) and Naby Keita (groin) are major doubts, while Dejan Lovren (thigh), Fabinho (ankle) and Nathaniel Clyne have been ruled out.

Joel Matip (knee) and Xherdan Shaqiri (thigh) have taken part in training this week but neither is expected to feature from the start against Jose Mourinho’s side.

Spurs, meanwhile, have six players out of contention after Moussa Sissoko was ruled out for three months with a knee injury. Harry Kane (hamstring), Hugo Lloris (elbow), Danny Rose (muscular), Ben Davies (ankle) and Tanguy Ndombele (groin) are also unlikely to be available.

At the bookmakers, Liverpool are odds-on favourites at Coral for the win this weekend. A draw is currently 100/30 with Betway while a Tottenham victory is 18/5 at BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 1-1
