Liverpool are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, according to multiple reports in the English media.
The 23-year-old, who has been capped on six occasions by England, is expected to be one of a number of players let go by the Blues at the end of the season.
Gallagher’s asking price last summer was reportedly £40m but it is believed that he could be available for below that figure when the next transfer window opens. Fans on Twitter are divided over whether he would be a good addition to the squad:
We are better than this! Seriously ????

I would take him if he cost £30M or less.

If we sign him I’ll stop supporting this club. Not even joking.

Conor Gallagher will be a type of player that will thrive under Klopps management. Buy

One of Gallagher’s key traits is his work rate and that is something manager Jurgen Klopp looks for in his midfielders but there are question marks about his quality.
The likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace have pursued the England international in the past, and he isn’t exactly being looked at by other elite clubs. Perhaps Klopp sees something in him that many supporters are missing.
