When Liverpool’s Postponed Matches Against Wolves And Chelsea Could Be Played

Liverpool have had two league matches postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II but, due to the packed fixture list, it is still difficult to know when these games could be rescheduled.

The World Cup in November means every weekend and midweek slot is full for the next two months, excluding the next international break.

After the tournament in Qatar, there is a possibility that one fixture could be played on December 20th/21st, although it requires Liverpool and one of either Wolves or Chelsea to be knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the early rounds.

The next available slot would be on January 17/18th but, even then, it depends on whether the teams are involved in FA Cup third-round replays.

There are already conversations underway to determine whether replays could be scrapped (as they were during the global health crisis) in order to reduce fixture congestion, but a final decision hasn’t yet been made.
