Wilfried Zaha Drops Future Transfer Hint Amid Links To Liverpool, Arsenal And Chelsea

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has revealed that he isn’t thinking about signing a new contract at the moment.

The Ivorian has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks and, with his current deal set to expire in the summer, there has been a lot of speculation about his future. However, Zaha seems relaxed about his situation:

“How many times have I seen myself, my name next to transfer stuff. I never speak on these things, when my contract is up, my contract is up but until then I’m a Crystal Palace player. The only thing I’m focused on is doing well for the club, that’s it. I take every day as it comes, I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future so I can’t sit here and say this is my plan, I’m only fixated on what I’m going to do in training and what I’m going to do on Sunday. I’m very devoted to Crystal Palace and that’s all I’m thinking about.”

Palace are said to be pushing for Zaha to put pen to paper on an extension but, from the sound of things, the 29-year-old is content to allow his contract to run down.

The forward will be able to speak to foreign clubs within the next two months, but Premier League teams will have to wait until the summer before holding direct talks.

Whether Liverpool would be tempted to snap up Zaha on a free transfer, we shall have to wait and see. He is a very good player but the fact that he turns 30 very soon may put them off from making an approach.
