Liverpool won’t sell Divock Origi even if he doesn’t sign a new deal, according to reports in England.
The Belgian’s current contract expires next summer, and it is believed the Reds would let him leave on a free transfer if terms can’t be agreed.
Fans on Twitter would be sad to see Origi leave and are hoping the forward signs on the dotted line soon:
Would hate to see him leave… Have grown to love this fella

Scored some important goals last season I'm hoping he stays

If he wished to have more playing time then good luck to him. He'll always be remembered here for what he did for us this season.

Origi should never have to buy a pint of ale for himself anytime he is in Liverpool for the rest of his life.

No problem with whatever Origi decides to do long term. If he walks away next year, he does so as a legend of the club, if he signs a new deal, he does so as a club legend.

exactly. We don't sell legends, they leave gracefully (if they want to).?

Great news!! It would be so wrong if he left now!

If he doesn’t sign it’s because he wants to play regular football…

SURELY we cash in 25-40m while his value is at its peak rather than lose him for free next summer???

This all sounds pretty fair enough from all parties

The Reds have offered an extension, and it is believed that the 24-year-old won’t turn down any deal because of money.
Origi is apparently happy to stay at Anfield but may move on for more first-team football.
Despite scoring some vital goals for Liverpool last season, the striker made just seven starts in all competitions and made only 12 appearances in the Premier League.
Origi’s brace against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, as well as his goal in the final, have made him a cult figure among Reds supporters.
