Arsenal have yet to re-enter contract talks with winger Bukayo Saka about extending his stay at the Emirates, according to reports in the English media.
It was thought that the Gunners would be in talks with the 18-year-old regardless of the 12.5% wage cut negotiations which have taken place in recent days.
Saka is reportedly earning just £7,000 a week and was expected to be handed a pay rise no matter the circumstances, but it appears that despite closing in on the final twelve months of his current deal, an agreement is not close.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all said to be keeping tabs on the situation and Reds fans on Twitter think the club should look to sign the teenager if they have the opportunity:
Would take him in a heartbeat. Cover for both Robbo and Mané while being quality and having a lot of potential.
With Tierney returning from injury, he would be not be a guaranteed starter at Arsenal— Aimed (@HamourAimad) April 20, 2020
Can you imagine saka – Trent as our fullback duo. Sorted for a decade

And Arsenal out here cutting his wages by 12.5%, would be a cracking addition to Liverpool’s squad, Elliott & Saka on the wings would bode very well for years to come

It could simply be the case that Arsenal were waiting to get the wage cut talks out of the way before having further discussions with Saka, but even so, Liverpool are likely to be keeping an eye on developments.
