Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare. There have been claims in Spain over the past few days that manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the 21-year-old.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be looking at the Frenchman, and fans on Twitter have had a mixed reaction to the news of the Reds’ interest:

Signing another defensive midfielder doesn’t really seem to be a priority for the Merseyside club but sporting director Michael Edwards and his scouting team do have an eye for a bargain.
Soumare is believed to be available for €40m (£35m) and could be sold for below that amount due to the lack of revenue following the postponement of football fixtures.
It will be a buying market for Europe’s top clubs this summer and Liverpool may well be lining up a few deals if they see players who could be signed for below their market value.
